Consider scale. It was never practical to build a steam powered personal transport, and yet, steam engines were a revolutionary transport technology.
Short range transport, sure, electric vehicles are useful.
For carrying cargo and long journeys, not so much.

There are physical realities as far as the amount of energy required to accelerate mass.
With watches - they miniaturised circuitry which lowered energy consumption.
You cannot miniaturise 1 tonne of cargo.
I don't believe that it's possible to build batteries which have a similar weight/energy ratios to, eg, petrol fuel.

In general, authority figures, including mainstream media sources, are roughly equivalent to the Catholic church circa the 15th century. They don't really want you to read the book and interpret it for yourself; so it's chained to the altar in a language you can't understand.
"Disinformation" is the same word as "heresy".

If a certain source is considered "disinformation", if it makes rational and justifiable claims, I don't care about the characterisations applied to it.
