just my understanding on leases...
if the industry asks for leases, BC Govt will consider and issue a tender for them
this occurred with past leases to the south and east of ce1, as more drilling showed the liquids extended further than first expected
as leases have been active in the north-west of the ce1 area before, they are likely to be appropriate again
most likely successful bider for new leases will be the co with pipes and active development in the area
there is a lot of resource and drill locations to drain and convert to $ before the extra leases are needed
but a larger partner may enjoy going harder at it...the potential is there
remember also, there is not doubt the montney gas continues well past the old leases, its just a question of how liquids rich...and a few independent assessments suggest they are and on a slight north-west trend
