Update since it has been a few days.
LoL - 13 Correct - 7 Incorrect - 65%
CS:GS - No events
Dota 2 - 37 Correct - 55 Incorrect - 40.2%
Overall it was 50 correct and 63 incorrect or 44.64% overall.
Combined including the previous post which is pretty much 2 weeks worth of data we have 87 correct vs 86 incorrect or 51.18% so slightly better than a coin flip however the comment of worlds for league of legends still remains true as it is likely to be harder to predict winners as the weaker teams are eliminated leaving only the stronger teams.
To put in prospective the Rugby League World Cup is on and it is most likely Australia or England will win overall with maybe outside chance to New Zealand or France. This is because of the infrastructure and support that is put around the players which smaller countries struggle to get the same funding but also culture the development of their young youths compared to the powerhouses. This also reflects on the scores of the early matches where games are really one sided and favour the stronger teams e.g. Australia vs Fiji being 42-8. To note Fiji played really well and Australia played pretty bad so the score I feel doesn't quite represent how good Fiji played but they certainly weren't the better team on the day but didn't feel Australia should of gotten 42 points on Fiji.
With league of legends the change in getting further into the tournament seems to be lowering the success rate as we dropped from 87% to 65%. Don't get me wrong that is still good but if we were to consider the above for NRL you would of likely picked 87% winners in the NRL game without having much knowledge of the sport and only when it comes to Australia vs England would it get harder to pick (still Australian favoured).
Lastly Dota2 has pretty much the same success rate hovering around 40% so the development has worked more towards LoL and improving the algorithm (although it dropped from 87% - 65%, up from 33% a few weeks earlier but this was in standard/local competitions). There will always be stronger sides and weaker sides but as mentioned before if there was an AFL world cup Australia you could almost guarantee to get in as the best players from across the AFL would be playing for Australia and they would be vs people probably worse than the VFL in comparison but in the AFL local competition it becomes a bit harder to predict who will win the flag each year compared to which country would win the AFL world cup (if there was one).
