I have done some research on Ecoflex from BASF .

Firstly it is to offer a different range of products for specific uses .

Secondly, it shortcuts their entry into some markets where they do not have the accreditation yet.

From what I understand it gives them immediate entry into markets where they have not achieved registration yet, but they still have the registration process on foot in those markets in any event. It basically gives them two products to enter markets with. I hope this makes sense . Ecoflex is only a core ingredient and you still have to manufacture the products yourself as they do now.
