Late term cross trade.
Sounds relatively innocuous, and I checked the top 20 odd shares in my watchlist, and all had large totals at the EOD.
They APPEAR to have no pattern like aVWAP , or an intraday high or low.
Google gives next to no explanation of the mechanics either...
At a guess, maybe intrabroker or Fundy cross trades, where a large parcel might be 'lent' as liquidity for a period of trading, or perhaps buybacks that need to be settled back into an account at the EOW?
If anyone really knows the true mechanism(s) of these larger trades, I would be really appreciative. It might help understand the current SP behaviours, if any.![]()
