It reminds me of the famous Mark Cuban trade when he sold his business for Yahoo stock and to protect it he entered into a options collar (https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/mark-cubans-famous-trade-concentrated-stock-a-altimari-cfp-).
As these put options are exercised would you expect to see the amount of shorting decrease?
