If AJL tried litigation then that would just piss everybody off. The UK government might even pass a bill of attainder against AJL, just like the West Australian government did when Clive Palmer sued them for $30 billion after his mining agreement was canceled. It is better to try and get locals to support fracking in exchange for royalties.
