AXO will bring no additional road capacity, only additional port capacity, so AGO still need to find a cheaper way to get ore from the pit to the port. Trucking it is hellishly expensive per tonne but requires no upfront capex, therefore it's considered to be only an interim method.
AXO are/were planning to transport their ore using a slurry pipeline from Balla Balla to Port Hedland. Lots of capex but very cheap cost per tonne (cheaper even than rail).
