ACB, it's a bit convenient to just go quoting record revenues. State government expenditure in Queensland has necessarily increased dramatically as well.
And then you have people lambasting the Qld gov't for example on things like the Traveston Dam which was a totally logical and necessary project. But the irrationals who took the political opportunity to join a few locals won out, and then they cry about money being wasted.
In a few years, with our growing poplulation, we're heading for water shortages. They don't want recycled water, they don't want to pay much for their water, and yet they don't want dams. Truth is, it was just an irresponsible campaign by a crazy LNP party that is jam packed full of scary people.
We had the same thing happen in Toowoomba with a few doozies running a scare campaign against recycled water. Now they're going to have it pumped up there and they ain't gonna like the cost.
Labor is doing fine in Queensland....just not giving enough money to farmers to rort probably. The LNP is well known for handing them whatever they want. It IS a complete joke. City people have no idea what goes on out there. I've lived there and witnessed it first hand.
