Nah...... There is more to this push than meets the eye. My guess is we are close to some level of declared funding coming in from Quebec. I mean think about it and go a bit deeper behind the initial thought. Like what's in it for us at NAL to be handing over our spodumene in any great quantity to Rio's trial down at their facility in Sorel-Tracy Quebec ( only 80 odd kilometers from Becancour ) , and which just happens to be one of the homes of the Federal Government of Canada's Critical Minerals and Technology Centres.

So I guess is should not be any further surprise to see that Rio's Didier Arseguel is the Vice President of Rio's Minerals & Technology Centre but sits also on the Board of Quebec's premier financing and mobilization ' Think Tank ' PHD stacked branch who's primary responsibilities are for innovation and all matters of development in the area of ALL advanced materials in Quebec . This also includes the necessary SEARCHES & matches of partners and relationships in the provision of other services required for meeting expectations of each HUB members.

So then it gets better folks .....because again no surprise that the approx C$222 million over 8 years awarded to RIO ( just to start things off ) , was in fact issued under the auspices of the Canadian Governments Department of Innovation Science & Industry through the ' Strategic Innovation Fund ' , and that this is the same Federal Department I highlighted recently who is owned and headed up , and just so happens to share the same address in Val-d'Or Quebec as Sayona's recent ' infant ' haulage Company who has been contracted for C$43 million to haul spodumene down to Troi-Rivers Quebec which is also just across from Becancour.


So while Sayona is a member of another Quebec ' Eco System ' in Propulsion Quebec , at last look , they weren't a sponsoring memeber of PRIMA Quebec ...whereas RIO is. And this Guy Didier Arsequel seems to be very very connected with ALL levels of Canadian Government Agencies as well as a Senior Executive with Rio.

So my guess is there would have to be something ' Bubbling ' away in the background ready to burst wide open in regards Sayona's own eligiability for significant funding ...be it in cooperation with RIO , or with Nemaska as well as Rio.
