What did the manifesto say about fracking?
"We placed a moratorium on fracking in England with immediate effect. Having listened to local communities, we have ruled out changes to the planning system. We will not support fracking unless the science shows categorically that it can be done safely."
So, unless he plans to be selective then the de facto moratorium will simply continue and if he has any sense he will quietly forget about any plans to lift it. He can see how much political capital Liz Truss burnt through for no gain to anybody.
Truss is now toast, the ridiculous Rees-Mogg is out on his ear, and the ERG/NZW are much diminished in influence, so fracking has just lost its cheerleaders.
