The really big supporters of freedom on the internet are the pornographers. Up till its introduction there were all kinds of restrictions on porn and its availability. Now it is open slather and they are raking in millions and millions. I think they are behind the arguments being put forward here in Australia against the filters. The raise the issue of big brother and political censorship. As far as I am concerned they are spurious reasons because it is pretty hard to keep the lid on political stuff here.
