Mr Blair paired his enthusiasm for a second Bush term with a strong call for the President to deliver on his promises to work harder for Middle East peace, warning that poverty and the plight of the Palestinians fuelled international terrorism.
"President Bush's re-election comes at a critical time," Mr Blair said.
"A world that is fractured and uncertain must be brought together.
"The need to revitalise the Middle East peace process is the single most pressing political challenge in our world today."
