Hopefully these seismics will be the real thing. Any so called attempts to improve their chances of finding something should be beneficial. Although they are old seismics many of the NEW techniques of interpretation could bring up some areas of interest.
Good to have some form of treasure map and try to work around some NEW techniques. Obviously in those day 20-30 years ago the seismics were done BUT no money was available to explore many of the potential sites. Keeping in mind this Area is Australias MOST unexplored area. As mentioned its has something like 1 well for every 5000sq km of exploration. Thats like drawing 5000 little squares and then picking one as your target. 4999 left. So many , many discoveries possible.
