Any investor - in any company - that only listens to the good news, and blocks out the bad news, will never see the trouble and be able to act accordingly before it arrives.

It's understandable that retail holders only gloat about all the positive aspects of a company. But it's also dangerous to dismiss any counterargument.

Case in point: social media was present regarding the DRC court dispute over AVZ asset ownership, but was dismissed (and heavily refuted) on HC in 2021. The posts are there for all to see.

I've learnt more about investing from the fewer that present critical opinions about companies, than (collectively) all the rampers.
