To all the posters that have said or will say we will never need 100Mbps Internet, I would like to paraphrase Bill Gates:
"We will never need more than 640KB of RAM".
Also, some bright spark at IBM(?):
"We will only ever need a few dozen high speed computers".
Industry analysts, that said "10MB is a huge amount of storage", yes, wait for it "the public will never need more than that".
Bit like saying, you don't need a whole brain, when we only use 10%...
PS: Journalistic tripe and "some commentators" apparently don't even use the 10% of their brain they supposedly have!
