I too saw our Fergie on Lateline. He was basically spruiking geothermal as the best bet for renewable baseload power generation. He then quickly mentioned solar, wind, wave and biomass (I think, not sure about the latter) but it was obvious he was extremely keen on geothermal.
Funny how the GDY (holder) SP is a disaster and to a lesser extent PTR (holder) are raising capital when they just got $66 million from the government (indeed twas Fergie himself).
PAX seems to be the best option around right now, no disrespect to the smaller geothermal companies around.
What's Fergie's background? Is he an oil and gas man from way back? If so, maybe that explains why he prefers his renewable energy from drilling holes in the ground, LOL?!!
