wording in announcements

I dont mean to bash the management, because there has been alot of that, and there is no doubt alot of things out of their control, and im sure they are doing their very best to finalise the deal.

However i beleive it is reasonable to suggest that they take care with their wording for future announcements.

The two things that i feel have been of concern are the following:

Using the words "minor issues"... surley "minor issues" should not take this long to sort.. ive got no problems with the fact that these deals are very involved etc, but next time to be safe just use the words "issues". I know we dont know what the "minor issues" are or what they involve, but a reasonable person would now start to think they may not be so "minor", even if they arnt. They have created this concern for some SH's by using the word "minor"

I know if they only said "issues" then this may have caused concern and uncertainity, but they have also created some unease by using the word "minor issues" and the deal still not being finalised.

The other term is "very advanced stage"...again why create time pressure for yourself, they could have said "advanced stage" and i dont think this would have had any adverse effect.... i dont think we would have all been saying..oh no, its not at "VERY advanced stage", but by using the word "VERY advanced"(even if it is) this had created time pressure\concerns from SH.

Overall i am very supportave of Management and there is no doubt they are doing everything in their power to finalise the deal, but they could make it easier for themselves..and us, if they choose their words more carefully in the announcements, espically at this late stage of the game!!

    Just my thoughts
