His version of events is that he didn't notice she was drunk, and that after 7 hours of drinking on a Friday night, the pair returned to their separate offices to do some work. His boss had a slightly different take, in that she couldn't think of any work that they needed to do. The decision of two people in their early 20's, to both of their own volition, at the same time, to decide to return to the office at 1AM on a Saturday morning, after 7 hours of drinking, does seem a highly unusual one.
