Beware the self serving environmental rhetoric from MCB nominated directors. Kerry Schott's piece in the AFR is a warning to all ... she's clearly more interested in retiring coal for environmental reasons than managing a sensible coal exit in the interest of all shareholders and the economy as a whole. She wants AGL to get off the coal boat before it reaches the shore. The grid isn't ready and regulatory and investor uncertainty remains high. If she gets her way it'll end badly for AGL shareholders and energy customers. And not great for AGL's share price ... but maybe that's what MCB and Brookfield want? Just wolves in sheep clothing.
