A lot of people within the exploration/dvelopment side of things have multiple fingers in multiple pies. It is not necesarily a conflict of interest. I know a geo who was on the board of 4 explorers as well as doing his own thing.
It would only be a conflict if the companies were competing for the same assets or customers. In a world with a restricted supply, it is unlikely that the conflict would arise in my opinion.
