That is a comment we hear from those who have a very poor understanding of lithium.
It is very difficult it is to extract and purify lithium into battery grade. Why else is it $110,000 AUD a tonne. Let me ask you, how much is copper a tonne??
Turning lithium into battery grade is extremely tricky. RIO have a long way to go jn this space and they seem to be taking a very keen interest. Mining copper is a simple matter of finding it and digging it up. That's why it's only worth a fraction of what battery grade lithium is worth
