Comparing the T20 from 15/12/20 to the most recent on 24/10/22
Merchant have gone from 8m down to 4.4m BG from 13.7m to 1.5m
So effectively sold 15.8m shares between them over 22 months ... roughly 33,500 per trading day.
I don't remember if Merchant have announced any off-market transfers ... so maybe their trading is a mix of on and off market. I assume that some of their selling has been due to investor funds withdrawals not just technical selling.
But we know Bill G (DrG) has processed his selling on market through a broker.
(I noted two larger sales yesterday - one of 50k and another 20k. Neither of these matches BG's brokers normal actions ; to quietly sell smaller sized parcels.)
There was a big negative sentiment floating around yesterday on the ASX ... contradicting the 800+ Dow and 300+ Nasdaq move, so far, this morning (Friday afternoon their time).
Therefore I'm quietly confident we have, in effect, had a big short against us that's coming to an end and maybe, just maybe, a market that wants to rally into Christmas and our AGM at least. lol
NB ... not technically a short as it doesn't need to be covered.
