    THE Rudd government has warned mining unions not to use a coming coal production boom to mount wage claims that undermine productivity, as new figures indicate a coal export bonanza over the next five years.

    Resources Minister Martin Ferguson told The Australian yesterday wage claims were one of the domestic challenges confronting the industry amid predictions massive increases in coal-fired power generation in China and India would propel the industry to the biggest export boom in the nation's history over the next five years...''
