Yep, Pamela ( wife) will manage the assets, and I agree with no reason to sell a large chunk ( for all we assume) that life goes on,
mentioning the testamentary trust as a possibility going forward for the estate is one manner to create a continuous income for family members without risking a loss of assets in case of divorce amongst offspring when claims are made in family court in regard to assets and property.
