yes an excellent point , who turns their motors off at traffic lights or intersections or in gridlock traffic, the cumulative wastage and unnecessary emissions are enormous. I was around during the dying age of steam engines, I used to love the smell of smoke and steam and all the sound and engineering that goes with steam engines but I'm glad the world moved on from them , you can always find some dedicated club that keep a few going for a bit of nostalgia...
