It represents the final dividend for FY21A (which was $nil) and the half year dividend for FY22A.
Dividends included in the statement of changes in equity based on the date they are declared.
The final dividend is usually declared after 30 June because the numbers have not been finalised and audited prior to 30 June.
The FY22 final dividend was 40cps which is stated on page 1 of the Appendix 4E lodged on 25 August. This is equivalent to c.$369m.
At 30 June 2022 the company had $1bn in cash which was used to paid the 40cps dividend. Refer to page 31 of the FY22 results presentation lodged on 25 August.
