This lady is no fool! 35 years at Texas Instruments, worked hard all her life and sharp as a tack.
As her statement goes “We are at a point of transition in the semiconductor industry as edge computing has pushed for new, more efficient techniques and hardware. BrainChip has a differentiated and commercially viable IP product that can transform edge computing at-large. I’m excited about and committed to my role as a board director.” Her credentials show she is a pioneer and can recognize the inevitable transition to edge AI computing. Together with Peter and Anil, Brainchip will move to the next level...female power Plus, looking through TI's website, they are desperately in need of an edge AI partner to compete in the future space of AI semiconductors.
By the way, sales in semiconductors have dropped significantly for all big players eg, Intel, Samsung etc. Yes, inflation has slowed down the need for consumers to buy but I think also that the tidal wave of edge AI semiconductors is coming so I think people/companies are just hanging out for this. Brainchip will therefore benefit most from this "retained" funds for the next generation of edge AI semiconductors...and it will be massive IMO
