I hope it is not the AIS bottom because I missed out eek.png. I was watching these babies instead. I figured I still have time to top up on this...

My portfolio lit up like a Christmas tree when the RBA raised interest rates today. In a very positive move. I would not have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes that an IR rise would be good for share prices. Conventional wisdom says that a higher IR is bad for valuations but the opposite is plain to see today... Maybe the lower rate of 25bps makes it risk on as some can see the light at the end of the rising IR tunnel. Or maybe the Melbourne Cup is stirring the animal spirits in the market. Who knows...

What I do know is that AIS is severely undervalued. Yes it is the worse accretion performer in the portfolio lately and with good reason owing to issues outlined in the previous quarterlies but I'm fairly certain those issues can be fixed and moreover the upside when AIS delivers on the turnaround will be amazing. AIS is definitely asset rich and cash poor for the next couple of years but definitely not cashflow poor as some post here suggests.
