They call it unseasonal weather and such events have been regular occurances for a long time - here's a sample:

and currently and from the not too distant past drought conditions to now flooding:

In sporting events one strives to break records in all types of sports. In weather events every record is seen as a manmade disaster. Records are meant to be broken and often are - so??? Major weather events throughout history have shown nature's might and fury. The futility of man trying to change nature is interesting - instead of saving dying habitats due to man's actions, man aids it by chopping down even more trees, digging even more ground for essential minerals to build solar and wind generators with the false idea of 'cheaper' clean energy and then value add by even more of the same to change what man has originally heralded as the best thing since slice bread - the invention of mobility by the automobile - the freedom machine that stopped a lot of public transport infrastructure and now booted out due to the 'terrible' fossil fuels that built nations from ground up. It took over a hundred years to industrialize and has only taken less than a decade to disrupt and destroy much of it.
You say you strive to make life better for humans and then went on to say you don't care about climate - that's like saying I want to grow great things in the garden but I don't care about the soil.
For every bad weather event there is always a silver lining:

Apart from consumerism, a very interesting comment:
Excerpt:
I’m a meteorologist by degree from Rutgers. We have a whole team of meteorologists, but we’re more statisticians and physicists, but statistics and climate cycles are very stable, so they’re a much better way to predict temperature, rainfall, snowfall. We do it by week, a year out, 32 million spots on Earth, but then correlate it back to seasonal sales.
So, according to a meteorologist climate cycles are very stable?? Yep a meteorologist calling the climate cycles stable and yet the fear mongering uneducated causing the hysteria??
There are salesmen and then there are would be salesmen.
Zero emission is a term invented by some with giant footprints out of step with reality.AIMO
