Hi Lethalba,
What's on their books is self declared just as its transactions via Singapore (see Raiderup's posted link.
I have worked for Multinationals and I know that those did slick accounting strategies to aggressively
minimise Aus Tax.
Did you listen to the testimony on the subject given a few years ago before the Senate Finance Committee
when Google, Apple , Microsoft and BHP were questioned about these practices?
https://www.aph.gov.au/About_Parliament/Parliamentary_Departments/Parliamentary_Library/FlagPost/2014/December/Senate_inquiry_into_corporate_tax_avoidance
It seems that despite the findings of this committee, that the Lib Government has been slack
in closing the loopholes (perhaps not good for Corporate Political Donations?)
As a consequence , Corporate tax avoidence/evasion has been on the agenda of both Labor & the Greens
this past election and, IMO, we'll likely see more action within a year.
