"Surviving COVID meant we had to sell land, mortgage aircraft and raise equity.".....and then in stark reverse, quickly buy the equity back again on market, by keeping the business at barely depreciation CapEx levels so I could announce a profit to just slide in a quick share buyback against little protest, to push my share awards through before I swan off up to Palm beach.
This will be the zenith in Qantas share price. Alas the zenith in its business and brand was years ago.
