Yes but dont forget that Carbonate would be far less volume and far easier to transport out of NAL than the Spod equivalent. There would be considerable savings that might swing the decision.
Could it be an end user offtake agreement that makes the difference?
If a manufacturer came along and said "we would like to buy your carbonate!" before a refinery came along and said "we would like to buy your spodumene!" would that be all it takes to make the decision?
