we can agree to disagree
firstly from corporate perspective, any decent management team would be interested in communicating with and engaging shareholders. They should also be interested (given they are supposed to be working in the interest of shareholders) in doing what they can to elevate the share price, particularly when they are in need of capital to further their plans
from a science and engineering perspective the inventors have a strong incentive to be recognised as the first to achieve/ create the technology, the longer they delay the more likely it is someone else will be first out of the gate
and finally, from a simple integrity perspective, they should do it because they told SH and the ASX they were going to last year
the only logical reason to not demo, is cos the product doesnt do what they’ve been tell us it will do
and as others here have suggested there is a clear incentive for a team who has a half baked product to keep dragging out timelines to either
- buy time til they can actually get it to work like they’ve said it will
- to use the prospect of a product to leverage other loans and deals (knowing that when the emporers new cloths are finally laid bare the the whole thing will come crashing down) or
- simply to keep milking a pay check
who knows, but simple commonsense says that if you have a groundbreaking product you want to sell to consumers you’d promote it, not hide it
