The whole thread could be updated as it deals with REE in the wider Gascoyne and there have been some useful announcements by many companies. The latest was VMC/ Venus using techniques described by @Polonium210 - still haven't worked out how to do it.

DRE is the focus but geology transcends tenement boundaries as HAS found when Yin was drilled and Carbonatites at C3/4.




At the conference DT did mention he considered KFM the real deal. They have a variety of ironstones with high grade, a zone with ionic clays, and interpreted (?real) carbonatites in an area some 100kms south of Yin. Combine it with what is drill proven for HAS/DRE/LNR as ironstones +-REE with high Nd/Pr and reports of occurrences yet to be tested the entire Gascoyne area is lighting up for REE.

DT was not too enthusiastic about ionic rare earths at the conference but these may be the "porphyry coppers" of the REE scene. Major REE sources for decades in China - anecdotal.
