VGCCC has just hit Crown with a $120m fine. Poor gambling practices, allowing patrons to gamble longer than 24 hours etc. This comes during its own probation period. Crown also has its own special monitor in place, Stephen O’Bryan, KC. Crown release acknowledges seriousness of failures. VGCCC chairwoman Fran Thorn was confident Crown will do ‘everything it can to ensure these things don not take place again’. Fran confirmed the regulator won’t act against former executives.
