Hey Sigs, thanks for the work presented and yes I agree with the presumption & also add that CAN haven't really ever been into copper or Gold

They are more Nickel & rare earths and hence may have simply been offered the projects around the time that they were looking at Cuban Nickel plays, however I don't think they took it further. Not that I can see anyway.

So whilst they may have been in Cuba as shown in Jan 2016 they'd already teamed up with another company which leads in a slightly diff direction than going gold mining.

The recently established CAN has been conducting business in Guatemala, Cuba and the Dominican Republic over the past 14 years through its wholly owned subsidiaries: Nichromet Guatemala S.A., Rio Nickel S.A., Nichromet Dominica S.A.

The company has managed to acquire major nickel /cobalt bearing deposits throughout Central America.

Central American Nickel president Pierre Gauthier said: "CAN holds the mineral rights to the Rio Negro property, which is estimated by Cominco Resources to contain 25 million tons at 1.6% nickel. CAN continues to negotiate the purchase of more properties in Latin America."

CVMR is the leader in the metal refining and manufacturing of metal powders, super alloys, metal 3D printing feed materials, net shapes and metal parts of high value. This would allow the Joint Venture partners to avoid being at the mercy of the commodity markets and commodity markets’ cyclical price fluctuations.

The products pricing of CVMR’s output are based on the market demand in different segments of the manufacturing and consumer markets. While the commodity prices have nose dived, metal powders, nano-powders, net shapes and super alloy prices keep climbing, and have done so with a steady pace in the past 15 years.

So the investor presso released in October of 2016 may have had the intent of bringing in the assets mentioned below, the cost to the company to do so by way of remuneration to a Salvador Brouwer to the tune of 10 million CAN shares which would have valued the transaction at $15m based on the issue price of $1.50 as per the amended offer which was issued on receipt of the subsequent material event being tabled.

So I think it may have been a bit much for the company to swallow at the time, despite the fact they'd assigned a material Value to the holdings of $157 million based on an in ground value of 5% of the 50% JV and assumed a full resource value of $6.29B Nice..!

Even at a sale price of $15m the company AAU as it stands seems cheap with current MC.

Hell the land value with drilling completion alone is worth between $20-100 million surely + Jorc resource..

How the MC is still at circa $18m aud is a curiosity for a newcomer doing DD, but I don't think it will stay there for long and expect the fair value is probably somewhere between $50-$150m for a company with two drilled prospects and another near million ounce gold mine project with Silver and Antimony offsets.

Now bearing in mind this is 6 years old and doesn't include Antimony and is based on a gold price of $1280 per ounce with nothing given for silver the following metrics were published by CAN in support of the bid.. So I dare say they come from earlier KWG figures perhaps.

Which when plugged in to a basic NPV calculator shows a fairly healthy return and a NPV of $82.3 million even using Salubrious's 15% value hehehe ;-)

(Noting the full $73m isn't payable by AAU & the cashflow assumptions are less than issued by the company in later projections)

But which ever way you cut it the company is presently undervalued by any measure you care apply. NPV, IGV, Drilling Cost, Whatever?

So yeah I am happy that Antilles have come by the prospect in a valid way, have recognized it for what it is and assembled the team to drive it forward..

Including releasing some eagerly awaited results from the remaining holes in El Pilar..

The transcript from Brian's interview in regards to El Pilar is as recorded below when he states we could have a

    "Tiger by the tale" .....

Could make the next few weeks/Months rather interesting if he does.. GLTAH h8tey

Dates slipped a little and hole one pinned the bottom of the southern section it seems and sure he's a salesman, that's his job, but he does seem a little excited?

    21:31
okay this is this is a very interesting
    21:33
    deposit
    21:34
it's a very large paw free
    21:37
    copper gold deposit
    21:39
    um it's a it's
    21:41
it's as part of a system actually but we
    21:43
focused on the l pilar property which
    21:46
james is talking about the oxide cap
    21:49
um it's had a lot of drilling on it but
    21:51
    the drilling has only gone
    21:53
into sha there's only been shallow
    21:55
    drilling into the porphyry deposit
    21:58
    very good copper grades
    22:00
our exploration manager who's a very
    22:02
talented guy as i mentioned before is
    22:04
    really wrapped on this property
    22:06
he thinks that the grades that we are
    22:09
    seeing at surface the first
    22:11
60 70 meters going into this portfolio
    22:13
    will be replicated
    22:15
we have a drilling program coming up
    22:17
    starting next month
    22:19
we'll get some results coming out
    22:21
    the end of september
    22:23
    if they
    22:24
continue we're going to drill only down
    22:26
to about 300 meters which is the limit
    22:28
    of the drilling
    22:29
    uh
    22:30
equipment we've got there at the moment
    22:32
    in cuba
    22:33
but if we replicate the surface results
    22:36
which we we have already seen but can't
    22:38
release we'll have a tiger by the tail
    22:42
this this could be a very very special
    22:45
    project
    22:46
so we'll know more about that in a
    22:48
couple of months as i said but all the
    22:50
indications are that it's going to be
    22:52
    pretty spectacular
