One theory I'm thinking is WPL will TO CVN at a low ball very cheap price (say 30c) and talk to STO about taking their share to 50%. Whilst WPL may have rejected Bedout previously that may have been before Dorado/Pavo which changed the dynamics. Bedout may be too small for WPL now but with so much potential it may just tantalise them to reach out at cheap cheap prices. Great sovereign risk, in WPL neighbourhood, great financials. Why not take a bit of a punt with a small amount of money up front. Just one of my thought bubbles. 2028 is a long way out and I'm a little disappointed but I'm in for the long haul. Slightly under water ATM. Back to the bottom draw I think.
And then there's the Koreans passing the abacus over it too. One more keen player and we could be pleasantly surprised with an auction but don't hold your breath. We can always dream. Nice to see Nasdaq up 7% overnight. It's been hurting my portfolio for a while but like with CVN I think the long term is OK.
