If there is a new tax it should only apply to the sales tonnage sold into the domestic market. Export volumes have no impact on our domestic energy prices, although wait a moment, maybe it will in that coal producers will short the domestic market and increase export volumes. The impact of that would be for Australian energy producers to have to bid even higher prices in order to meet their consumption requirements.
