    Well....

I take a holiday for a little while, and look what happens to the price!

I will be happy to accept offers of money and goods to stay away permanently, if this is what happens to ESG's price in my absence. Great Stuff!

So Arrow perhaps close to coming to terms with Shell/PetroChina (in the absence of a superior offer). As Fitsch has pointed out, a successful takeover of Arrow will see huge inflows into ESG. And, perhaps even before the ink has dried. Canny investors will look at the relative upsides and perhaps decide that to switch into ESG will be a better upside/downside. And, predators will be aware of these coming inflows into ESG, and may act accordingly...

And the strong buying today... perhaps a mixture of sector sentiment, some short covering, and new buyers looking for who is next.

ESG is not the only CSG company. BOW has been mentioned. But in terms of size and strategic importance to the very largest companies in the world, none of ESG's peers comes close.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, "DC10" has been away in NY, Houston and London (and, probably, Asia in between)...all to make a couple of presentations! A 3 week trip.

There are two things we should conclude from DC's absence. One, ESG has entered the final, corporate phase where interested parties are being sought. And, these will be multi-nats and Asian LNG buyers, NOT pissy Australia utility companies or pipeline companies - they don't have headquarters in Houston and London.

And two, all is well on the domestic front in terms of flow rates. DC is not needed in Narrabri. Whilst they may not have been released yet, ESG have had 2 1/2 months of flows, feeding into their next reserve upgrade.

And, that semi-mythical concept plan, including approvals. It cannot be far away... :)

So ESG supporters and shorters alike - strap yourselves in for the next few months. I can guarantee it will not be boring!

    Y(aq is back)

(And thanks for the private and public best wishes.)
