Really no different to the post WW2 migration from Southern Europe. Many Italians for example came here with nothing in their pockets, but worked hard to build a better life for them and their families. Often ended up running a shop, owning a taxi or building a block of units.

Probably the same in the US or Canada as well post WW2.

No matter who they are or where they came from, as long as they love this country, and respect its values, its all good.
