A lot of the information that the crabpest and others want would be in the WAI studies, and by what AKO has announced, is likely to be very positive and as a result AKO would want to released to the market. As NonPolar has implied and I agree with, it is highly likely that the ASX is preventing AKO from releasing this information.
What is the next step for a capital raising for AKO?
Well, as the positive WAI studies can't be released to the market, AKO must be of view that its share price is undervalued (thanks to the ASX) and would not want to issue shares at what it would consider to be a discount to fair value.
So AKO needs to seek fresh capital from investors with deep pockets or potential partners. These entities would be provided with the WAI studies after signing Confidentiality Agreements .
What we then have (courtesy of the ASX) is two classes of investors - some with a lot more information than others upon which to make an investment decision re AKO.
Surely in the interest of a fair market the ASX should be taking action to prevent a differentistion of information between shareholders, not creating difference classes of shareholders!!
In the end potential investors, either deep pocketed or potential partners, will have more positive info than us relatively small shareholders and invest in AKO based on the market not being fully informed which as a result had suppressed the share price. Win for large investors, loss for small shareholders.
