mid-MarchOverview Morella Corporation Limited (ASX: 1MC “Morella” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce that keyenvironment, social and governance (ESG) related workstreams in support of the Company’s maiden drilling program at the Mallina Lithium Project have been completed. Morella is now focused on mobilising staff, equipment and contractors to the Project ahead of commencement of drilling at the end of March. The Mallina Lithium Project (tenement E47/2983) “the Project” is located 120 kilometres southwest of Port Hedland along the North West Coastal Highway. Located in the Pilbara region, a globally recognised lithium mining and exploration province, the Project area is serviced with primary roads, export infrastructure and access to skilled, mining-centric labour. Previous exploration activities at the Project, from 2016-2020, included RC drilling, soil and rock chip sampling, mapping and mineralogical study work targeting five identified pegmatite intrusions (refer to ASX Announcement Mallina Lithium Project Update issued 28 October 2021). Mineralogical studies have confirmed the presence of recrystallised spodumene mineralisation in surface outcrops and it is interpreted that potential primary spodumene-bearing pegmatite sheets exist near-surface. The Company’s initial 2022 RC and diamond core drilling program is targeting these sub-surface primary pegmatites.

SYA. Mallina Project (lithium) The Mallina project is the most advanced of Sayona’s Pilbara portfolio. Multiple zones of spodumene pegmatites have been identified within a 25 sq km zone.The pegmatites occur in three main swarms: the western Discovery prospect, the central Area C prospect and the Eastern Group pegmatites. Surface sampling has been encouraging, with rock results up to 4.6% Li2O returned from spodumene pegmatite at surface. Mapping has confirmed the pegmatites can be extensive, with the Eastern No.2 pegmatite being over 1,300m in strike extent and up to 20m in thickness.
