I also read somewhere that people who bought CSL in the 1990's have received more in dividends since than Telstra shareholders have in the same time.
CSL has steadily increased it's dividends despite being on a low yield, whereas Telstra dividends were stagnant for many years then went backwards,
so buying stocks that are currently high yielding is not the way to grow your dividends in 10 years time.
