    I always wondered why the termination of the fibre in the home was never mentioned. There's your answer.

    Also, there are many homes where it is impossible to run a fibre into without ripping up large amounts of concrete with a jackhammer. Coax and other cables have been layed during the building process and get concreted and built over.

    If you want evidence for this state of affairs you only have to look at the Optus system. Some streets don't have it at all, and each house needs to be inspected before installation. Anything too hard they don't bother with. If you notice when you go to sign up first step is to check whether it's available in your area. So how is the NBN intending to install to these ares and homes that Optus gives up on? It's beyond ridiculous.
