Robert Gottliebsen---business spectator in the article today
said Europe and the rest of the world are now desperate for Eucalypt pulp and prices have been rising rapidly,he also said whispers in Europe say Gunns are close to gaining finance approval and they are keen to do business because of the plantation product,he also made reference to ANZ bank backing out of any finance deal because of pressure from the greens.

well mid april might be a lot more interesting, guess it will be Alice in Wonderland--"which way do we go"

Peter Garrett says 12 of 16 project modules are still awaiting approval.

i guess after the weekend election tasmania may or may not have a pulpmill, you can bet on one thing if its not gunns there will be a state of the art pulpmill built just perhaps not in tasmania with freehold plantations in Victoria and South Australia ,particularly the latter state
they might well like a pulp plant, feasibility studies are usefull
wherever you go and south australia has certainly moved ahead

tasmania will probably remain the impoverished state where people go to retire or just rely on the mainland--progressive is certainly not the word i have in mind for
    tasmania.

this sounds positive for gunns not for australia as its most likely o/s interests will receive most of the financial benefit with a restructure
