Regrettably, yes it is the big players that are in control.
What rules is the number of shares held and not the number of shareholders.

If, let's say for the pupose of this exercise, one shareholder holds over 50% of the company's shares and the remaining, say 10000 shareholders hold the remaining shares, it is the 1 shareholder that dictates what happens.

Please remember that it is only a theory that I put forward in my previous post, and that I may be completely off track.

I was looking for theories from other posters but no one has come forward with any. I would even welcome input from cerbera, Prof Frazer, Rifici and the like.
