Someone is gonna call me dumb - but im used to it from my childhood.
Strike price is 35c and the options expire in July 2023.
Essentially buying them now at 15c and strike price of 35c means you buying shares @ 50c ~~~ kinda
couple of things going for it....
1. you can get more options than shares with the same amount of capital.
with 10k atm i can get 30.3k shares (33c price as of writing) OR i can get 66k options (15c ish now)
Im kinda rolling on the fact that we will be way above 50c on a positive Ann on monday hence... so when we rolling in the $1.30s + striking those options is printing money (and only risking 10k capital up front as opposed to 20k if i wanted same amount of shares)
2. You can sell the shares... if the SP moves up 5c (thats a SP of 38c at time of writing) = 15% ish increase? if the options follow suit (they usually lag a little behind...) but even if they move 3c thatd be a 20% increase (assume from 15c start - was something there last i looked)
the key risk is that IF we dont get above the 50c line... and the options expire its worth 0... zilch.. sweet FA.
if its a dust you can at least sell the shares and salvage crumbs... its still worth something... you can hold long term in hope of boabab or other plays the company might do... stop losses can be set etc etc. yadda boring... with the options... once time is up they not worth a baked ass.
So options have a higher risk and a deadline but can be potentially more rewarding.
The Black scholes method is a calculation to estimate the value of an option and when i did it at the price of 36c with a high volatility (50% ish - it was on the back of some wild swings) the value was between 14-16c. but as with all of these calcs (imo) take with grains of salt and a side of seaweed salad. but its a decent enough indicator of value.
Considering we either gonna be rich or broke by the end of next week (not much in between is what im saying) its a more gambler sort of play
