Excellent. Working with our team already for 2 years, David Hall's performance has evidently been to the satisfaction of our management. Who better could we have attracted than a chemicals industry specialist whose previous 7 years were with Orocobre? I'm impressed. For those new to lithium stocks, before merging with Galaxy to form Allkem, Orocobre were at the vanguard of the EV revolution's infancy.
David's executive management roles focused on "strategy development, business growth through opportunity identification and development of new chemical and industrial mineral sources, market penetration, customer development, management of large multinational principals, development of logistics solutions and profitability improvement." These credentials will be exceedingly useful as we progress our Phase 2 plans and assess third-party licensing or feedstock opportunities.
JW and GJ are clearly confident in the outcome of the announcements we are awaiting, methodically signing on an experienced executive management team across these past several months. Their expert qualifications would not come cheaply and therefore commitments would not be undertaken lightly. Well done to our management for securing niche professionals of such high calibre.
Equally, I believe we can read much into David Hall's acceptance of our offer, and also into his interest in us 2 years ago. At the pinnacle of a long and illustrious career, he is aligning himself with a tiny AUD 130M market cap minnow. It bodes well for our future that an individual with such a "big" past is jumping onto our ship.
Like our over-subscribed SPP's new institutional shareholders, I'm guessing he is not concerned about our presently ridiculous share price, understanding these things are temporary. (Depending on one's perspective- whether one is buying or selling, these opportunities can be advantageous.)
Interesting that this announcement mentions David oversaw "the maturation of the share register to one dominated by institutional investors." That's what's happening here, as we've seen for years, particularly evidenced by today's trades. AJIMHO
Only 2 business days till our AGM. Can't wait. Have a great weekend, everyone.
