Thats ironic Cophot,I did not invest in lithium as its in the mini9ng sector but clearly I understand why you and wesfarmers etc did.My mistake. The amusing part for me my first ever investment in the mining sector was NHC back in nov 21.It maybe in the coal,sector but its capital gains and dividends have been extreme over the past 12 months including a couple of adjustments.. Hmm tls,i'm going to call it a asset sale not a restructure because they are selling assets. How this can lead to more profits is ridiculous,yes the market will get excited when they get the infraco check but then tls management must replace the lost $600m pa profit especially if they waste it on a special div .etc blah blah blah.
One thing u will 'never' hear about this claytons tls restructure,yes i agree with the infraco sale for strategic reasons and the proceeds but the proceeds must b reinvested in profitable investments. tls's acquisition history. Towerco i can't see the point. But the elephant in the boardroom is servco,i have never heard anyone put a value on servco,this is because its a sitting time bomb imo only.As its valued at least at a $10b division of tls that makes little to no money relevant to its book value.
Would love to hear someone comment on servco.? infraco and towerco easy to value but servco is all the bad rubbish tls can't run.
And if the world only bought Australian clean coal it would lower coal global emissions by 25% to 30% but our dh govts don't care about the facts.
